About 7th Heaven

(1996-2007, WB and CW)

7th Heaven took a simple concept – parents trying to raise well-adjusted children – and turned it into the longest running family drama in TV history.

Over 11 seasons and 243 episodes, Rev. Eric Camden (Stephen Collins) and his wife Annie (Catherine Hicks) bring up seven kids in the fictional town of Glen Oak, California. Eldest sibling Matt (Barry Watson) begins the series as a high school junior, goes to med school, and marries Sarah (Sarah Danielle Madison). Mary (Jessica Biel) is an athletic high school freshman who goes on to marry Carlos (Carlos Ponce). Lucy (Beverly Mitchell) begins the series as an emotional 12-year-old, becomes associate pastor, and marries Kevin (George Stults). Simon (David Gallagher) grows from a 10-year-old to a college graduate and becomes engaged to Rose (Sarah Thompson). Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) begins the series at age 5 and ends it by finishing high school. Twins Sam and David (Lorenzo Brino and Nikolas Brino) join the family in season three.

7th Heaven concluded with a series finale at the end of season ten, then received a surprise renewal from the newly formed CW Network. A second finale aired in May of 2007 with the Camdens heading out to see American in an RV, literally driving off into the sunset.
