About True Justice
More than two decades after he burst onto the scene in films like Above The Law and Under Siege, Steven Seagal brought his talents to TV in this highly cinematic police procedural series.
The action icon stars as Elijah Kane, a veteran New Orleans cop running an elite Special Investigation Unit in Seattle, Washington. His team includes: handsome bad boy Landon Radner (Warren Christie); low-key enforcer Andrew Mason (William “Big Sleeps” Stewart); by-the-booksJuliet Sanders (Meghan Ory); and newbie Sarah Montgomery (Sarah Lind). Seagal’s Kane mentors his younger recruits and allows them to do their jobs free from protocol, but he’s also the enforcer when they need muscle to close the deal.
In season one, the team battles a serial killer, Russian gangsters, malevolent drug manufacturers, militant gangs, and even the Japanese mafia. The series reboots slightly for season two with a new crew supporting Kane, including: Mark Simms (Lochlyn Munro), Johnny Garcia (Jesse Hutch), Marcus Mitchell (Adrian Holmes) and the returning Lind as Sarah. Season one is told in a series of two-part, self-contained stories. Season two follows a single narrative arc, as Kane pursues a villain called “The Ghost.”
Seagal co-created this premium event series and co-wrote ten episodes.
